My Little Pony seems like a lot of fun. I believe I’ve seen an episode or two, but I wouldn’t call myself a Brony. Nevertheless, I wanted to do something fun for my nieces and nephews who were carving Jack’o’lanterns with me. Naturally, they finished theirs and left before me, so they never saw the completed product. Such is my curse.

Cartoons are fun to carve because they have easy-to-see and distinct outlines that translate well.

Carving tips

With cartoons like this, or anything that has line art, the biggest challenge is to not break the line art since you’ll be carving valleys on either side of it. Work carefully around the line art and you’ll be pleased with the result!
