About this piece

This carving was a little bigger than pictured here; the tendrils of lightning coming off of Pikachu wrapped all the way around the pumpkin covering about 270 degrees. It's a great crowd-pleaser and pretty simple to do, but carving the lightning takes some extra time.

Carving tips

Start by carving out Pikachu. If you do the lightning first, you won't have anywhere to hold the pumpkin with your hands while you carve without potentially damaging some of your work.
