About this piece
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind is the favorite Ghibli movie of one of my good friends in Japan. When I watched it at her recommendation, I was amazed at the animation for Nausicaa's glider; it felt like I was there with her, soaring. When Nausicaa threatens two men with a machine gun, I determined she is one of the greatest protagonists of all time. If you haven't seen the movie, go see it!
In this piece of art, Teto's size is exaggerated, and many people have guessed it is a depiction of Eevee the Pokemon, but I attribute that to the movie's relative obscurity. Anyway, Ayane, this is for you!
