About this piece

This piece features a dark archon—a combat unit in Starcraft created by fusing two dark templar together. Its alien body is shrouded in a cloud of turbulent scarlet energy which makes it a great subject for a pumpkin carving! It was the most difficult thing I'd attempted up to that point because of the intricacy of the pieces which make up its armor.

Carving tips

Use an razor blade to very carefully cut the outlines of all the thin parallel lines (ex. along the lower tabard) before removing the pieces. When removing them, use your finger to support any fragile pieces that you may need to push against in order to remove other nearby pieces.
